On 25 May 2018 the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force.  In order to comply with the new regulations, we have revised our Privacy Policy and Data Breach Policy.  

How do we collect information from you?

We obtain information about you when you use our website, attend our meetings call us or attend shows.  When you join the BSBC you provide us with your contact details so that we can keep you informed of events, enterprises or developments which may be of interest to you, and to send you our newsletter.

Privacy Notice

The BSBC takes your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to administer your membership and to provide the products and services you have requested from us, and these details will be kept on a password protected computer.  We rely on you to inform us of any changes to the information you have given us. 

For Members who are under the age of 13, please can parents or the person legally responsible for the child add to your application form, that you consent for them to join the club.  

Please also note that should your child(ren) have success in our competitions or in the show ring, we will require your permission to use any photos taken by us of the event to be published in our Newsletter or on Facebook or Instagam as we would like to celebrate the event. 

Right to erasure (to be forgotten)

Any Member of the BSBC has the right to request their details be erased. At the point of this request being made through the cessation of your membership your personal details will be removed or anonomysed for research purposes. Additionally. if after receiving a reminder to renew your membership, the club does not hear from you within a 2 month period, your details will be erased from our database or anonomysed for research purposes. You may of course rejoin at any time in the future should you wish you.
